A few blocks away from the Pacific Ocean, this stately yet inviting residence combines a timeless, clean aesthetic with simple architectural moves. We were inspired by the family’s heritage, travel logs, and fashion and art collections. The spaces are grand, but they still feel intimate and have an “elegant bohemian” vibe.

Architecturally, a central stair volume climbs up all four stories. Each level has a generous corridor, allowing air and light to circulate throughout the house. Windows and doors to balconies and courtyards provide vertical sightlines throughout different parts of the home, which feels uniquely dynamic for a single family residence.
