Justine Brasserie & Café
The interior design of Justine is inspired by a classic Parisian brasserie and imbued with the fun and energetic spirit of the French Quarter. It is sophisticated and still playful. Classy and still surprising. The interior design paints a picture of the culturally-interconnected histories of Paris and New Orleans but with a modern brush.
The environmental graphic design is a collaboration with interdisciplinary graphic design studio The Made Shop.
Interior, Restaurant and Bar
New Orleans, LA
The Café room opens to the sidewalk and has a classic Parisian sidewalk café vibe. Its design is bright and garden-like with exuberant pops of interest by way of street-art stenciled on the walls.
Bar lamps and overhead bar shelves create an intimacy found in many Parisian restaurants.
Banquettes create an intimate and comfortable atmosphere where one could relax for hours.
The Bar room is rich with details and materials such as antique brass drink rails and large expanses of diamond-patterned smoked glass mirror on the walls. (Photo by Denny Culbert.)
Three raised round booths with custom felt divider screens create a private perch from which to take in the scene.
Above: An antique French cow head wall mount is adorned with a flower wreath in a nod to livestock shows of the past.
Right: Custom lights adorn the columns, creating a soft glow throughout. Two large communal tables with custom over-the-table lights invite a lively communal dining experience.
Two distinguished ambassadors, Hemingway and Degas, whose portraits are painted on the walls, play host to guests.

Anchoring the restaurant behind the rear dining room is an outdoor dining experience featuring a custom absinthe decanter-inspired fountain, lush plantings, and a beautifully textured candle-lit weathered masonry wall.
